CAP CANA AND SOLAYA HOTELS ANNOUNCE DEVELOPMENT OF “EDEN ROC AT CAP CANA” LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Set to open its doors in winter 2011, the luxury lifestyle boutique hotel, consisting of 37 bungalows/suites and a total of 41 rooms ranging in size from 120 to 400 square meters (1285 to 4280 square feet), each with a private swimming pool and a private spa area, will feature a wide array of amenities and entertainment programs.

Modeled after the luxurious and glamorous French and Italian Riviera, Eden Roc Cap Cana will feature Mediterranean Revival style architectural elements. Solaya Hotels has appointed Mexican-based GVA & Asociados to carry out the architectural design of the project with full-scale construction of the project expected to begin in the second quarter of 2010.

"Our ultimate goal is to create a 6-star boutique hotel in a unique concept, within the Dominican Republic rivaling the world's best boutique hotels in Europe, Asia and North America in every aspect,” said Franck Messiah, Vice President of Solaya Hotels. “We are certain that Cap Cana is the ideal place to carry out our project and we are convinced that this will be one of the world’s principal destinations within the next 5 years.”

The resort will offer its guests the option of two luxury restaurants, including a main restaurant featuring Italian and French Mediterranean cuisine, a private beach and an outdoor swimming pool. Guests will also enjoy a spa with a wide array of treatments, sauna, massages, beauty salon and hairdresser's, as well as a gym. In addition, guests will also have access to Cap Cana’s other facilities which include a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a full service marina, spas, retail shops, water sports and yacht club.
